Photographer is a customer; But this customer is no longer king.

Dear Hoteliers, Resorts and to whomsoever this may concern With five years of experience, I have managed to learn how to handle most daily situations encountered as a photographer at SplendidFotos and NitinGuptaPhotoworks At the beginning, I would react more, starting stupid, endless and useless fights. But with time, I have learned the art to be self-controlled […]

#BlogToFeedAChild – Backpacks full of Hope.

Hunger hurts 1 out of every 10 children. The biggest reason children are hungry around the world, is poverty and unemployment. Unemployment mean families can’t afford enough food and poverty means children do not have access to clean water or education.

Imagine you are 8 years old and your mom tells you that we have nothing more to eat.

You’d wonder what wrong have you done to sleep hungry.

You’d wonder if the water you drink to sleep can fight the rumbling tummy.

What can we do to make sure no child is hungry. ?? !!

This was a recent incident that happened in my office during our lunch hour. So we bunch of four awesome friends were waiting for the Chappati (or Flat Bread) to be served. While all of us were waiting to receive our share of Roti, one of our friend outstretched his hand.

“This is for you,” he said.
In his hand were four quarters.

This was an overwhelming moment for all of us, and sooner did it struck my mind. We could volunteer to share our share of lunch so that this could reach the school that had mid-day meal scheme. Every quarter from our share of lunch could bring a roti (of course with different sized quarter) and they could be fed. With filled stomach, hunger for education would bring the best in everyone.

Each day of the month, we all could deliver lunch boxes loaded with healthy snacks to every kids in need all over. For some of those kids, the food may be is the only brand-new things they receive all year.

I am going to #BlogToFeedAChild with Akshaya Patra and BlogAdda.

When you feed a child, you feed their future. You make the world a better place for them.

Adobe picnics with Children of Samriddhi

Samriddhi – A non-profit charitable trust run entirely by volunteers, focuses on humanitarian service programs of education, medical care, rehabilitation, music and service to the underprivileged and less fortunate ones often forgotten by the rest of the world.

With the onset of Season of Giving, Adobe in association with Samriddhi planned a fun-filled day out for the children of the NGO. What better day than “Children’s Day“, November 14, 2014 to celebrate them. Undoubtedly one of the most refreshingly and unique choice of get together – Picnic was planned.

Picnic with Samriddhi

Kids love the foods, fresh air, games and freedom from table manners that come with the picnic experience. It’s a great escape from your normal routine, giving you the opportunity to spend some quality time in the great outdoors.

No picnic or outdoor event would be complete without a series of fun, entertaining picnic games and activities to keep partygoers enjoying their fun in the sun.

There are so many elements that go into planning and executing picnics, and our skilled team of volunteers from Adobe are always excited about turning all of our event goals and dreams—from perfectly crafts and artfully design into realities. Neither the children of Samriddhi, nor the volunteers from Adobe give a miss to the series of fun activities.

A great venue makes for an even more perfect celebration, so a locale was chosen. The picnic helped bringing a human factor into consideration, where each one learn to appreciate each other efforts more than ever. The amazing bunch of children from Samriddhi gave amazing performance. Everyone was awed with the talent they showcase. Here are a few photos to show how well spent the day was :

The children had a skit planned that spread awareness of “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.

The key to planning a picnic with kids is to keep it simple. Brunch was arranged on the lush green of the venue, filled with a variety of starters, juices.

The picnic had us oohing and aahing all through the event.

It was an über chilled out atmosphere, you are likely to linger on here for as long as possible, may be plot your next visit!
